Stonebridge Companies General Manager Wins Industry Award for Excellence

aloft Denver International Airport General Manager Ralph Bobian was recently bestowed with the honor General Manager of the Year by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International. aloft Denver International is part of Stonebridge Companies holdings, a leading hotel development and property management company based in Englewood, Colorado. 

Denver, Colorado (February 8, 2010) - Ralph Bobian, General Manager of aloft Denver International Airport, a Stonebridge Companies property, was honored at an awards luncheon at the Sherman Street Event Complex. From a field of qualified candidates, Bobian was selected as 2009 General Manager of the Year by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) - Denver Chapter.

"I am honored to present this award to a former boss and friend, whom I admire and who has given so much to our industry for the past several years. Ralph is highly respected and is a true complement to his staff, is understanding and respectful of the sales and marketing effort and deserving of this special award," said Jonathan Bryant, president of HSMAI Denver Chapter.

Bobian was chosen by HSMAI because of the growth and success experienced by aloft Denver International Airport in its first year in business despite a difficult economic environment. Recruited by Stonebridge Companies in 2008 to lead the team at aloft Denver International Airport, Bobian brings a wealth of knowledge to his position that includes over twenty-one years of hospitality industry experience with extended stay, select service and full service hotels in the Denver market.

Denver-based Stonebridge Companies partnered with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide to bring the $25 million aloft Denver International Airport to the metro area in November of 2008. aloft is a new hotel destination brand featuring loft-inspired design, accessible technology and a stylish urban attitude at an affordable price. The first aloft hotels opened in 2008, with 500 properties worldwide expected by 2012.
