Metropolitan State University of Denver
Stonebridge Companies is privileged to endow The Rita and Navin Dimond Hotel Management Fellowship through MSU Denver’s Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Events. The fellowship, named for Stonebridge founders Rita and Navin Dimond, was established to foster excellence and passion for providing Distinguished Hospitality™ in future industry leaders. Participants are provided with professional development opportunities, including paid internships at the Stonebridge Companies corporate office and/or Denver hotels.

West Virginia University
Stonebridge Companies is honored to have endowed the first scholarship at West Virginia University for their Hospitality and Tourism Management major. One of our hotels is located adjacent to campus, and we are very fortunate to have some outstanding future leaders in the hospitality industry participate in our internship program.

Washington State University
Stonebridge Companies provides internships for students at Washington State University, home of the second-oldest hospitality school in the country. Our Residence Inn Pullman property is located on campus, providing an excellent opportunity to students seeking to further their hospitality education and career.

Cornell School of Hotel Administration

Stonebridge Companies is active in providing on the job learning opportunities in the form of internships to future graduates of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, the world’s first four-year intercollegiate program devoted to the field.  Several of the internship opportunities provided have resulted in full time job offers to now alumni of the program.

Stonebridge Companies is also an annual sponsor of the Cornell Hospitality Icon & Innovator Awards.  Additionally, CEO, Navin Dimond, sits on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the School of Hotel Administration and the Advisory Board for the school’s Center for Real Estate and Finance.

University of Denver
Stonebridge Companies actively involves itself in its local university community by providing learning opportunities to promising students at the University of Denver.  Internship opportunities are afforded at nearby Stonebridge hotels as well as the corporate office.  In addition, Stonebridge Companies CEO, Navin Dimond, sits on the University of Denver Board of Trustees, which provide oversight and guidance on Faculty and Educational Affairs, University Advancement and Student Affairs, to name a few.

Charitable Work

Stonebridge Companies is very active in the community and financially supports a number of charitable organizations that are focused on education, health, arts and building a better community.

Each year, Stonebridge Companies comes together to collectively raise money for a charity or foundation in our community. Associates select organizations that are important to them and the company supports that charity for the duration of the year.  

At the 2015 Stonebridge Leadership Conference in Denver, the company raised $20,000 to benefit the National Kidney Foundation. Stonebridge’s 2016 Distinguished Hospitality conference raised $20,000 to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation.  For the remainder of 2016 and culminating at our 2017 Conference, company contributions and associate-led fundraisers are planned throughout the year to benefit Alzheimer’s Association.
